Tyler, the Creator explores the things he loves and the ways they work, with the help of experts and personal heroes. Our challenge was finding a visual balance between Tyler's world and our world at VICELAND.
Deliverables included: Creative, design and strategy briefs, logo exploration and design, 60 sec trailer, 30 sec trailer, graphic spot ideation and execution, design and photo briefs, set design, printed and digital billboards, phone kiosks, bus shelters, digital newsstands, social media strategy, printed ad in VICE magazine, and more...
For these, we put Tyler in a world somewhere between his and ours visually. We used the old Encyclopedia Britannica commercials as reference for these and put our own twist on them. Further, each book is a subject that either relates back to the show or something we thought would just be funny for Tyler to talk about.
To expand upon the book teaser we also created one with an old school computer. We filmed, Tyler, furiously typing at a computer and later put in different subjects that he was searching.
